grew up in Wilmette, Illinois. I received a bachelor degree in Fine Art from Southern Illinois University, followed by a ten year career as a computer graphics artist in downtown Chicago. I then became a mural artist, painting in residences as well as corporate buildings, while also showing my work in galleries and festival's from coast to coast. I started my own business Creatures Great and Small "I will paint them all", which is the sale and commission orders for pet portraits along with a line of note cards. My most prevalent subject matter besides dogs are landscapes, focusing heavily on the clouds and skies, emphasizing the dramatic colors nature produces while achieving a sense of peace, serenity and tranquility.
How long have I been painting?
s long as I can remember. My Mother was an artist so she gave my sisters and I pencils, crayons, paints and lots of paper to keep us busy and out of trouble. I was the only one of the kids that ended up with images on the paper that actually looked like what I was drawing or painting. As I grew up I continued to paint. Art was my electives in high school, my major in college and my choice of professions as I entered the work force. I truly consider my talent a gift from God along with my Mother's genes.
